“Hey for Four” Series:
In addition to our monthly dances with live music, Helena Contra Dancers presents a new series. The dances are free, but donations happily accepted to help cover the cost of the room. These dances are all taught and called to recorded music, with the following goals in mind:

  • to give dancers an opportunity to dance more frequently than once a month
  • to give our local callers more practice calling dances
  • to help beginning dancers master the basic steps
  • to introduce all dancers to more complicated figures
  • to work on dance aesthetics, like flow and embellishments
